April Self-Employed Blogging Income Report

Welcome to my fourth self-employed blogging income report.

This report will be pretty quick as life has been super busy lately.

However, I still wanted to make sure I continued sharing how I make money online and how much I made for the month of April.

It’s Super Easy To Get Distracted

One thing I learned this past month about self-employment and making a living blogging is it is super easy to get distracted.

As I mentioned in my life update last week, we’re going through a bunch of big changes.

We’re going to be building a home, selling our current home and getting out of the rental property business and selling that home as well. With these big changes coming up, we’ve been super focused on everything we need to do to get the ball rolling with the new house.

Unfortunately, that means I’ve been super distracted from blogging while we’ve been fixing up our house to put on the market, which we did just last week.

I’ve stayed 100 percent focused on making sure my client work gets done on time and at the top quality I always provide, but some of the things I normally do for my own site have fallen through the cracks.

I need to make a system to stay on top of things more when things get stressful and busy in life because my self-employment needs to be successful in all aspects, not just with my client work.

If you’re looking to start a blog or become self-employed, be aware you need to have a system to stay focused!

April 2016 Blogging Income – $6,913.95

Last month I made $6,913.95 through my online business efforts. While it wasn’t a record month, I was still super happy about how much I made.

Just like with the past months, I’ve made money a few different ways. I made money through banner advertisements, affiliate income, sponsored content and freelance writing.

If you want to learn more about exactly how I make money using these methods, check out last month’s income report here where I detail how I make money using each method.

Next month, I’ll explore these topics a bit more, but unfortunately this month is quite busy on the home front.

Want To Start Your Own Blog?

If you want to start a blog, you can get started today. One of the huge keys to my success has been being on self-hosted WordPress.

By starting my blog on self-hosted WordPress, I was able to accept my first advertisement for hundreds of dollars just a few months after I started blogging.

If I hadn’t been on self-hosted WordPress, selling my first ad wouldn’t have been possible. I don’t know that I would have gotten hooked on blogging and making money online, which eventually turned into my career.

If you want to get started on self-hosted WordPress, you can buy hosting through Bluehost today.

I personally suggest paying for one year in advance so you give yourself enough time to get started and making money before you give up. If you sign up for a monthly plan, it’s easier to quit before you really get started.

Next month’s income report will probably be quite a bit lower than this month as I have less in the pipeline and I’ve had less time to find new work, but time will tell what ends up happening. Make sure you check back to find out how I did!
